Patricia Sparkes, penned a string of tales about 'Shelltown' for her 14 children as they were growing up.
Her stories follow the lives of three 'good eggs' called Splat, Cracker and Exactly, and their run-ins with the Bad Eggs Gang.
The Shelltown books proved such a success that the couple launched Shelltown Productions and funded a pilot animation.
Mr Sparkes said “It is fantastic to have such a comedy talent on board as Dave, he will make Big Bad Eddie his own”.
In a world's first, the TV production company behind Shelltown is also auctioning off a speaking role in the children's animation alongside the celebrity talent.
The winner will attend rehearsals, voice a specially-created character, and receive two invites to the VIP post-filming party.
They will also pocket a two per cent share of the production's royalties
Profits from the seat sales will fund the show's production costs, and benefit three UK-based charities to the tune of £75K.
It will be the first time in the world that a role has been sold to cover overheads, and could prompt other production companies to follow suit.
The charities that will be benefiting are close to Bernard & Patricia’s heart’s as two of their children are autistic, and with children being the main focus of their lives UNICEF was a also natural choice.
The creators of the kid’s animation, ‘Shelltown’, Bernard & Patricia Sparkes, have teamed up with www.humraz.com, to offer this amazing chance of a lifetime!!!
